Off-Site Access
PIMC uses resources from AZHIN (Arizona Health Information Network), HSRL (Health Services Research Library which is a branch of the National Institute of Health) as well as resources we purchase. When you are on campus publishers recognize that your computer is part of the PIMC network. When you are off campus publishers need another way to recognize you. Follow the instructions below to register and use resources off-site access.
Register for Off-Site Access
AZHIN Registration
- AZHIN uses usernames and password for off-site access.
- Off-Site access is maintained by Athens, an Access Management System.
- Usernames and passwords do not expire.
- Register for AZHIN off-site access or contact the library.
HSRL Registration

HSRL uses a username and password for off-site access.

Off-site access is through a proxy.

Contact the library for HSRL logon information.
PIMC Registration
- Off-site access is available for many resources purchased by PIMC.
- Contact the library for information about a specific resource.
Using Resources Off-Site
AZHIN Resources
- Start at the PIMC Library Website
- Login with your username and password. The system will know which resources you are able to use.
- If you cannot access a resource it is probably because AZHIN does not subscribe to the resources. Contact the library to see if there is another way for access.
HSRL Resources
- Start at the PIMC Library Website.
- Click on HSR Library on the menubar. You will go to the HSRL homepage.
- Click on HHS logon on the right side of the HSRL homepage.
- Use the username and password you were provided.
- If you cannot find a resource HSRL does not subscribe to it. Contact the Library to see if there is another way for access.
PIMC Resources
- Start at the PIMC Library Website.
- Click on the title link of the resource.
- Use the login information you were provided.
- If you cannot access the resource it may be because off-site access is not available. Contact the library to see if off-site access can be arranged.
